Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Richmond, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 60,350-square-foot, three-story above grade, one-story below grade clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; and library.
Concept plans and capital budget for the Steveston Community Centre and Branch Library Replacement Project. The facility, envisaged to be a three-storey building and totaling approximately 60,350 sq ft, will be centrally located on the southern edge of the Steveston Community Park. The facility is being designed to meet the City's High Performance Building Policy and achieve LEED(R) Gold designation with a minimum score of 10 points targeted from LEED(R) Optimize Energy Performance. Features include two gymnasiums, a fitness gym, public library and study areas, and multi-purpose rooms. TIMELINE: Construction is underway. Awarded trades are not being released for publication. Completion is currently targeted December 2025 with the facility opening in 2026. *City's anticipated construction budget for this project is estimated at an order of magnitude of 60 million at this time and is inclusive of pre-construction services for this project; total cost of the project has been estimated at approx. 95 million.
