Site work for a water / sewer project in Apex, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Due to constant overtime and emergency maintenance at this station, approximately 2,400 linear feet of gravity sewer is needed to connect the sewer flowing into the Abbington Pump Station to the outfall along Reedy Branch. Not funding this project will require continued maintenance of the pump station. Being able to abandon this pump station will reduce the amount of funding needed for maintenance and eventual upgrades as well as reduce the noise and odors that come from the site. As of November 9, 2023, this project is included in the Town of Apex's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for FY 25-26. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
