Sealed bids for Structure Replacement & Rehabilitation, Bridge A: No. 211-0914 (Yough Bike Trail over UNT to Youghiogheny River), Bridge B: No. 211-0935 (Yough Bike Trail over UNT to Youghiogheny River), Bridge C: No. 211-0936 (Yough Bike Trail over UNT to Youghiogheny River), Bridge D: No. 211-0939 (Yough Bike Trail over UNT to Youghiogheny River); Structure Abandonment, Bridge E: No. 211-0952 (Yough Bike Trail over UNT to Youghiogheny River), Ohiopyle State Park, Stewart & Dunbar Townships ,Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Contract No. FDC-211-07324.1 SDB- 27%; VBE- 3% Bridge A No. 211-0914 a. All site work to suit project preparation, execution and completion. b. Demolition of existing structure comprised of a 12'-6" single span reinforced concrete slab bridge with a 14'-0" underclearance. It will be replaced with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast concrete end sections. The box culvert will have a 16'-0" span and a clear height of 10'-0" with an 8'-0" hydraulic underclearance. Proposed bike trail consists of an 8'-0" lane and two 2'-0" shoulders for a total trail width of 12'-0". Replacement includes trail surface aggregate (2.5" to 3" depth), rock lining, architectural surface treatment and timber rails. Bridge B No. 211-0935 a. All site work to suit project preparation, execution and completion. b. Rehabilitation of existing structure comprised of a 5'-6" span reinforced concrete arch culvert with an 8'-0" underclearance. The existing streambed will be replaced with a new cast-in-place concrete slab on coarse aggregate bedding. Proposed bike trail consists of an 8'-0" lane and two 2'-0" shoulders for a total trail width of 12'-0". Rehabilitation includes trail surface aggregate (2.5" to 3" depth), timber rails and a 2A paving construction access road. Bridge C No. 211-0936 a. All site work to suit project preparation, execution and completion. b. Demolition of existing structure comprised of a reinforced concrete box culvert with a 6'-0" clear span and 4'-7 1/2 " underclearance. There is a short length of a 48" RCP at the inlet end. It will be replaced with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast concrete end sections. The box culvert will have a 16'-0" span and a clear height of 6'-0" with a 4'-0" hydraulic underclearance. Proposed bike trail consists of an 8'-0" lane and two 2'-0" shoulders for a total trail width of 12'-0". Replacement includes trail surface aggregate (2.5" to 3" depth), rock lining and timber rails. Bridge D No. 211-0939 a. All site work to suit project preparation, execution and completion. b. Rehabilitation of existing structure comprised of a 6'-0" span reinforced concrete arch culvert with an 8'-0" underclearance. The existing streambed will be replaced with a new 4'-0" wide cast-in-place concrete slab on coarse aggregate bedding. Proposed bike trail consists of an 8'- 0" lane and two 2'-0" shoulders for a total trail width of 12'-0". Rehabilitation includes trail surface aggregate (2.5" to 3" depth), rock lining, grout/cement filled bags, timber rails and a 2A paving construction access road Bridge E No. 211-0952 a. All site work to suit project preparation, execution and completion. b. Abandonment of existing structure comprised of an 8'-0" single span reinforced concrete slab bridge with a 9'-0" underclearance. There is no stream flow due to sediment and debris obstructing the flow. The inlet is totally obstructed. The existing superstructure to be removed to the limits as shown on the plan drawings. The remainder of the open culvert to be filled with structure backfill and the outlet regraded with embankment material. Proposed bike trail consists of an 8'-0" lane and two 2'-0" shoulders for a total trail width of 12'-0". Rehabilitation includes trail surface aggregate (2.5" to 3" depth).
