Annual Bid Bond Forms Must Be Submitted by June 15 of Each Year. Bid bonds must be Submitted on a form furnished by the commission, executed by the bidder and corporate surety, and naming the "State of missouri, acting by and Through the missouri highways and transportation commission", as obligee) for an amount (or penal sum) equal to 5% or more of the bid, Which check or bond shall be deposited with the commission as a guaranty and forfeited in the event the bidder is found to be the successful bidder and fails to comply with the terms of the request for bid. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Hereby Notifies All Bidders That It Will Affirmatively Insure That in Any Contract Entered Into Pursuant to This Advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Will Be Afforded Full Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation and Will Not Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color, Religion, Creed, Sex, Age, Ancestry, or National Origin in Consideration for an Award. The Right Is Reserved by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to Reject Any or All Bids. Any Contractor Who Desires to Bid on the Project(S) Involved in the Bid Opening Must Have a Contractor Questionnaire on File in the Office of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission at Least Seven Full Days (168 Hours) Prior to the Time of Bid Opening. A New Contractor Questionnaire Must Be Filed Annually Except That the Commission May Request a New Questionnaire at Any Time. Contract Time: 12/1/25 MODOT - G02 - Bridge Replacement - Route 90 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Construction Requirements: The plans and the asbestos and lead inspection report for the existing structure(s) and the geotechnical report for the new structure(s) are included in the contract in the bridge electronic deliverables zip file for informational purposes only. In order to assure the least traffic interference, the work shall be scheduled so that the bridge closure is for the absolute minimum amount of time required to complete the work. The bridge shall not be closed until material is available for continuous construction and the contractor is prepared to diligently pursue the work until the closed bridge is opened to traffic. Provisions shall be made to prevent any debris and material from falling into the waterway. If determined necessary by the engineer, any debris and material that falls below the bridge outside the previously specified limits shall be removed as approved by the engineer at the contractor's expense. Provisions shall be made to prevent damage to any existing utilities. Any damage sustained to the utilities as a result of the contractor's operations shall be the responsibility of the contractor. All costs of repair and disruption of service shall be as determined by the utility owners and as approved by the engineer.
