Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Redlands, Colorado. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of replacing the existing 19.88-G.26 bridge, which consists of four CMP's at 84 inch along on Canyon Creek Drive. This also includes improving Canyon Creek Drive by widening the asphalt and shoulder along the road and all related road work, storm water control, irrigation control, utility coordination and soil disturbance mitigation. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, as determined by the statement of qualifications and the bid, which is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to accept the bid or any portion of the bid by a competent bidder that will result in the lowest cost to the County. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any portion or all bids without disclosing the reason therefore. BIDDER shall submit documentation of pre-qualification meeting the requirements included in the project specifications or as follows: For transportation projects, BIDDER shall submit documentation showing they are Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) pre-qualified in the Discipline of General Construction, Grading (general), Aggregates, Paving (general), Bituminous Concrete, Small Bridges, Fencing and Construction Traffic Control (CDOT Work Codes #01, 02, 04, 05, 06, 10, 13, 17). Such pre-qualification shall be in a dollar amount equal to or exceeding the dollar value of the submitted bid. Documentation of prequalification will be required to be submitted with the bid. Bids from BIDDERS that do not meet the prequalifications requirements MAY BE CONSIDERED A NON-RESPONSIVE BID. A Certified Check or Bank Draft on a responsible bank, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and a recognized Colorado Licensed Surety Company payable to Mesa County, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each bid as security that the bidder to whom the contract may be awarded will enter into a contract in accordance with this notice, and give bond as hereinafter provided. No bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of Mesa County, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish satisfactory performance bonds equal to the full amount of each bid or bid. All bids must be submitted in writing on the forms provided, and must be signed by the bidder or his duly authorized agent. SCOPE - The project consists of replacing the existing 19.88-G.26 Bridge, which consists of 4 @ 84-inch CMPs along Canyon Creek Drive. This includes improving Canyon Creek Drive surrounding the 19.88-G.26 Bridge. These improvements consist of widening the asphalt and shoulder along Canyon Creek Drive and all related road work, storm water control, irrigation control, utility coordination and soil disturbance mitigation.
