The building is a Mixed-Use Occupancy of Type II Non-combustible construction. The areas to be renovated encompass approximately 6,400 SF on the first and second floors. New additions to the building encompass approximately 7,700 SF on the first and second floors. Renovations consist of selective exterior and interior demolition, new ceilings, partitions, finishes, lighting/power, HVAC, plumbing and data/communications. New additions consist of non-combustible structural framing, brick veneer and metal panel exterior walls, low slope metal roofing, aluminum storefront windows, non-structural interior partitions, ceilings, casework, finishes, lighting/power, HVAC, plumbing, and data/communications and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work will be substantially completed within 300 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 330 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to City of Bridgeport in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid.
