Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The purpose of this RFQ is to invite interested parties to submit responses to this RFQ indicating their interest in, and qualifications for, participation in the Request for Proposals stage concerning the Holdom Overpass Project pursuant to which the Owner intends to select a preferred proponent who will be invited to enter into a Design Build Agreement for the Project. The scope of work for the Project generally includes design, construction and third party coordination work necessary to design and construct: A four-lane elevated extension of Holdom Avenue south from its current terminus, across the BNSF/CNR rail corridor and Still Creek to connect with the Douglas Road and Norland Avenue intersection, including walking and cycling facilities physically separated from traffic (the Holdom Overpass); Signalized intersections at the north and south ends of the Holdom Overpass; An extension of Goring Street starting from the Goring-Holdom intersection and running south adjacent the east side of the Holdom Overpass and connecting to Kingsland Drive; Retention of the existing Still Creek culvert to accommodate vehicle traffic, and construction of a new structure crossing Still Creek east of the existing culvert to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists; Relocation or replacement of existing utility infrastructure affected by the Project, including a new pump station at or near the north end of the Holdom Overpass to replace the City's existing Goring Pump Station; Complete environmental mitigation or enhancement work required to comply with applicable Laws and requirements set by regulatory agencies; and Closure of the Douglas Road at-grade rail crossing after the Holdom Overpass is fully open.
