Renovation of an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a four-story above grade educational facility.
Thea Koerner house entry level renovation. UBC Thea Koerner House (TKH) is an existing 4 level concrete frame structure of approximately 17,000 gsf located on Crescent Road in the north-west quadrant of UBC's Point Grey Campus. Designed and constructed 1960/61 by Architects Thompson, Berwick, Pratt and Partners, the building is a Massey Medal award-winning design recognized for exceptional Canadian architecture and is an important modern heritage building. The work is to be undertaken on behalf of the UBC Graduate Student Society and the Faculty of Graduate + Post Doctoral Studies with support from the VP Students. The proposed work within phase #1 consists of a collection of alterations to the existing entry level facility. The renovation of UBC Thea Koerner House - Entry Level, being phase #1 of a larger future building renovation. TIMELINE: Construction is underway.
