The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission hereby requests Proposals from engineering firms for preliminary design, design, bid, construction administration, inspection, testing and related professional services necessary for certain improvements necessary to replace the Runway 16- 34 Engineered Material Arresting System (EMAS) at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. All Proposers shall endeavor to afford Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's) a reasonable opportunity to participate in this project. The Commission's overall goal for DBE participation is 7.0% In addition, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this solicitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities, or irregularities in a Proposal, or to reject any and all Proposals, or to re-advertise for Proposals and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the services specified.
