Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Installation of 2-4 new sand volleyball courts outside the east side of the existing American Sports Center (ASC) building. Initial design for two sand volleyball courts and related amenities was completed in Fiscal Year 2019-2020 from the original $100,000 budget. Construction costs are estimated at $450,000 for two sand volleyball courts. Completing the project with two additional sand volleyball courts and a restroom is estimated to cost an additional $700,000. Program improvements include sand volleyball courts, wrought iron fencing around perimeter, spectator seating, chilled drinking fountain, and landscaping improvements. Project improvements include electrical for lighting, concrete/flat work, fencing, ADA access and spectator areas, grading, earthwork, landscaping, plumbing, and security cameras. Staff is also recommending adding a restroom building for players and spectators estimated to cost is $250,000. The initial project has been designed through a Job Order Contract (JOC) and is ready for construction. As of July 07, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2023. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
