Project includes: replacement of existing water lines with 10 l.f. of 4-in., 150 l.f. of 6-in., and 2,440 l.f. of 8- in. dia. PVC DR-14 Class 200 water main pipe and appurtenances including 6 fire hydrants and residential water services with meter boxes all along Dempster Avenue, from Burns Avenue to McLean Avenue, and then to Gibsondell Avenue, and along Ogden Avenue, from W. Clarendon Drive to W. Jefferson Boulevard, for a total of approximately 53 residents being served in the City of Cockrell Hill, County of Dallas, Texas, and in District No. 4. Removal and replacement of the existing paving to construct the water mains - concrete curb and gutter, driveways, aprons, and sidewalk, and asphalt including Cement Treated Base material is also required. There are 100 Working Days allocated for this project. minimum aspirational SBE goal of 40%, Completion- 100 working days covers the procedure for obtaining, preparing and testing cores drilled from concrete pavement for length and compressive strength determination. APPARATUS: o Core drill for obtaining 4" diameter cylindrical core specimens. o A callipering device that will measure the length of axial elements of core. o A moisture-conditioning bath with temperature controlled at 73 F. plus or minus 3 F. o A capping device as required in Tex-418-A. o A testing machine, the machine shall have a minimum test range capacity of 0 to 250,000 pounds force, meet the requirements of Tex-418-A.
