Questions Due Date: Sep 17th 2021, 12:00 PM CDT Improvements of Various Roads near Texas Southern University (Phase II) for Harris County Precinct 1 - UPIN 19101MF1JY01 The project includes the improvements of five streets near Texas Southern University (TSU). o Blodgett Street from Ennis Road to Scott Street - Convert 4-lane divided boulevard to 2 inside travel lane and 2 outside bike lane with 6' & 8' wide sidewalk each side, street and pedestrian lights, streetscape/trees and other landscape in the median and boost floating bus stops. o Tierwester Street from Blodgett Street to Rosewood Street - Convert 4-lane undivided road to 2 inside travel lane and 2 outside bike lane with 6' to 8' wide sidewalk on both sides and streetscape, new street and pedestrian lights. o Rosewood Street from Tierwester Street to Scott Street - Reconstruct asphalt pavement between Tierwester Street and Canfield Street and concrete pavement from Canfield St to Scott St with 6' to 8' wide sidewalk each side, with new street and pedestrian lights. Install the new storm sewer. o Sampson Street from Wheeler Avenue to Cleburne Street - Milling and overlay existing asphalt road and reconstruct 6' wide sidewalk on the west side. o Attucks Street from Rosewood Street to Wheeler Avenue - Replace the existing sidewalk on the west with 6' wide sidewalk. Convert the signal at Blodgett Street & Tierwester Street to all-way stop control. Provide the pedestrian crossing along Blodgett Street at Columbia Tap Trail, Sauer Street and Burkett Street. Plant trees and install irrigation systems along Blodgett Street, Tierwester Street and Sampson Street. Install 8-inch and 12-inch waterlines.
