The City of Carlsbad is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, equipment and materials to furnish and install street lights, conduit, electrical equipment and asphalt concrete and Portland Cement Concrete (P.C.C.) surface improvements, throughout the Barrio Neighborhood as shown in the Construction Documents. At the time of bid submission, bidders must upload and submit an electronic PDF copy of the aforementioned bid security. Whether in the form of a cashier's check, a properly certified check or an approved corporate surety bond payable to the City of Carlsbad, the bid security must be uploaded at online. Within two (2) business days after the bid opening date, the first three (3) apparent low bidders must provide the City with the original bid security. The Contractor shall provide bonds to secure faithful performance and warranty of the work in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price on this project. The Contractor shall provide bonds to secure payment of laborers and materials suppliers, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract. This project has a goal of twenty-two percent (22%) DBE participation. Project Duration 160 working days. The Engineer's Estimate is $2,570,370. Question Deadline 08/29/2025 at 5:00 PM PT.
