The San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District (District), by this Notice, invites Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFQ) for the construction of: UPPER SANTA ANA RIVER TRIBUTARY STREAM RESTORATION PROJECTS in accordance with Specification No. 21-01. The purpose of the Prequalification Submittal is to provide the District with a mechanism to evaluate and determine which general contractors are qualified to participate in these Projects because of its their specialized nature. Only those general contractors who have duly completed the Prequalification Submittal and have been determined to be qualified by the District will be eligible to receive and submit a bid on the Projects at a later date. A mandatory Prequalification Submittal must be completed by all bidders. The purpose of the Prequalification Submittal is to provide the District with a mechanism to evaluate and determine which general contractors are qualified to participate in these Projects because of its their specialized nature. Only those general contractors who have duly completed the Prequalification Submittal and have been determined to be qualified by the District will be eligible to receive and submit a bid on the Projects at a later date. The work under this Contract is the first two stream restoration sites (Group 1) of the UPPER SANTA ANA RIVER TRIBUTARY STREAM RESTORATION PROJECTS located in or near the City of Riverside, CA. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to construct nearly 8,000 ft of new or enhanced creek channels and floodplains, remove non-native plants and revegetate over 25 acres, construct in-channel fish habitat structures, install new culverts, and stabilize eroding streambanks. The scope of work requires temporary water control and working with threatened and endangered species. The General Contractor must include a qualified revegetation contractor experienced with installing native plants and irrigation systems. All questions regarding the project must be submitted on the Bidder's Question Form provided and transmitted by email to BidQ@sbvmwd.com no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 1, 2021.
