PROJECT No. 1661.61 Brentwood Water Main Improvements Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to bids@davie-fl.gov no later than 5:00 PM on September 24, 2021. Responses to those questions considered material to the solicitation will be made available as formal addenda to the Town's Purchasing BONDS 5% Bid Bond 100% Payment & Performance Bond All work for this project shall be completed for Owner's use within 450 calendar days to Substantial Completion and Final Completion should be 60 calendar days after substantial completion. The Town of Davie reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any and all irregularities in any submission, and to make awards in the best interest of the Town. The WORK to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing new potable water piping, valves, and fire hydrants; connecting to existing potable water piping; abandoning existing potable water piping; and all ancillaries associated with completion of this work. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for the proper handling and disposal of any existing Asbestos Cement Piping (ACP) being demolished and/or connected to. The WORK shall be complete, and all work, materials, and services not expressly indicated or called for in the Contract Documents which may be necessary for the complete and proper construction of the WORK in good faith shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR as though originally so indicated, at no increase in cost to the Town of Davie (OWNER) The WORK of this Contract comprises furnishing, installation and construction of the following: a. Approximately 2,620 Linear feet of 8-inch HDPE potable water piping (Pipe Burst) with fittings and appurtenances b. Approximately 4,420 Linear feet of 6-inch DIP potable water piping (Open Cut) with fittings and appurtenances c. Approximately 60 Linear feet of 4-inch DIP potable water piping (Open Cut) with fittings and appurtenances d. New fire hydrants and replacing existing fire hydrants on existing mains. e. Service connections including saddle taps, steel casings, polyethylene tubing, meter boxes, meters, backflow preventers, valves and appurtenances for all homes and businesses within the work area, approximately 5,140 Linear feet of 1-inch and 30 Linear feet of 2-inch service lines. f. Connections to existing water mains with solid sleeves and tapping sleeve and valve combination. g. Leveling course and overlay on existing asphalt roadways on SW 67th Ave, SW 66th Way, SW 66th Lane, SW 66th Terr, SW 65th Ave, SW 41st St, SW 41st Place and SW 41st Ct. h. Replacement of damaged concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, and sod. i. Replacement of damaged fences and signs. j. Installation of temporary 8-feet high chain link fence k. Installation of temporary parking l. Installation of permanent gravel surface C. The WORK shall include furnishing and installing all piping, services, fire hydrants, and appurtenances complete in place, including all hot taps and cut-in connections to existing piping; surveying for both horizontal and vertical control for construction of the pipeline and appurtenances, all earthwork, trench excavation, transporting excess material to the OWNER's onsite storage area, removal and disposal of unsuitable material dewatering, furnishing and installing pipe bedding material, all backfill, and Members of the public may still attend virtually by phone or online.
