The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Contract Documents to construct for the above-stated project. The general items of work include Remove existing signal equipment and Furnish and install traffic signal equipment at 44 intersections complete and in place, including new LED pedestrian push button assemblies, LED pedestrian indications and ATC controllers, and all incidental work and materials. The Contractor and all subcontractors for the Work shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, Riverside County, and City of Temecula statutes, regulations, orders, and ordinances. This requirement specifically includes, without limitation, compliance with the "Safety and Health Guidance COVID-19 Infection Prevention in Construction" issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Occupational Safety and Health and Safety on July 20, 2020 and as may be amended from time to time by the Department, relating to mitigating the transmission of COVID-19 on the project site and mitigating the transmission of COVID-19 by employees or workers of Contractor and its subcontractors in their contacts with City employees and consultants. Prior to the pre-construction meeting, the Contractor shall submit to the City a "COVID-19 Mitigation Program" implementing these requirements and shall post the COVID-19 Mitigation Program on the project site in a manner designated by the City's Project Manager. The failure of employees or workers of the Contractor and all subcontractors on the Work to comply with these requirements shall be a default per Section 6-7.1. Contractor acknowledges that, in the event that the Engineer suspends the Work as a result of such failure by Contractor or one of its subcontractors to comply with these requirements, City is not responsible for the delay, and the Contractor is not entitled to compensation pursuant to Section 6-4.3.
