The Board of Education of Wicomico County will receive sealed bids for, HVAC Air Flow Survey at various locations in Wicomico County, Maryland Bids received after that time will not be accepted, regardless of when they were mailed or given to a delivering carrier. There will not be a Pre-bid Conference held for this project. Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. This project is a partially federally funded project. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of partially federally funded public works projects. This project is subject to Davis-Bacon Act Wage Determinations as set by the Wage and Hour Administrator at the U.S. Department of Labor and as provided in Specification Section 000180. This project is subject to the Buy American requirements as provided in Specification Section 000179. Start Date: Upon Award (Award is expected in November.)
Completion Date: August 15, 2022 Work consists of HVAC air flow survey by a qualified Testing and Balancing (TAB) company. The TAB will provide a detailed report of HVAC air flow for all rooms including an inventory of mechanical equipment. All bidders must notify the Procurement Manager in order to receive any addenda. It is recommended that all bidders and subcontractors utilize full sets. Owner is not responsible for bidders and/or subcontractors not obtaining the information provided through the full set of contract documents. Each Bidder shall deposit with his proposal a Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Base Bid. The form of the Bid Bond shall be AIA Document A310 Bid Bond - 1970 edition or equivalent. A Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, in the full amount of the contract award shall be provided by the successful bidder prior to the execution of the contract. Bond Requirements are for projects greater than $100,000. (Bid Bonds and Payment and Performance Bonds are not required for Bids below $100,000.) No Bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the date and time of bid opening. The Board of Education may extend the time and place for the opening of bids by facsimile notification to those known general contract bidders who have obtained copies of the plans and specifications through the Printer. The Board of Education of Wicomico County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive formalities, informalities, and technicalities therein. The Board reserves the right to contact a Bidder for clarifications and may, at its sole discretion, allow a Bidder to correct any and all formalities, informalities and technicalities in the best interest of the Board. The Board reserves the right to utilize existing Board or Cooperative contracts in the best interest of the Board. The Board reserves the right to evaluate existing Board or Cooperative contracts as Bids in the best interest of the Board.
