Bayonne Public Library, Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey (the Library) will be accepting Proposals from qualified firms and/or individuals to perform General Contracting and Construction Services for Renovations to the Library. The Library reserves the right to reject any and all proposals which fail to comply with the requirements set out in the RFP packet, to reject any proposals not complying with this notice, and to waive minor informalities of any proposal if such waiver is deemed to be in the best interest of the Library. Questions Close Wednesday, October 7, 2022 at 3:00 PM and Response to Questions Wednesday, October 14, 2022 by 3:00 PM Proposed vendors are required to comply with the current requirements of N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration of Public Contractors); N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.A.C. 5:34-1 and N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et. seq. (P.L. 1963, c. 150, Prevailing Wages), and with the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Rules in accordance with P.L. 1975 (N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.). All bid proposals must be signed by an authorized representative of the Bidder, and must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Library Director at address 697 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002. All sealed envelopes containing a bid, including express delivery envelopes such as FedEx or UPS, must clearly identify the Bidders name and address, and the name of the contact person for the Bidder, all clearly marked in the upper left hand corner on the outside of the front of the envelope, and Bayonne Public Library Renovation Request for Proposals, and bid opening date (October 19, 2022) shall be printed on the exterior of the envelope. Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms supplied by the Library. Bidders must submit one (1) original and full two (2) copies. The failure to provide all copies required herein may result in rejection of the bid. Proposals for the above listed services are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The contract will be awarded to the most qualified and responsible Bidder with the lowest total bid price. It is the intention of the Library to award a contract to the proposed vendor based upon cost, relevant experience, qualifications, and who will provide a high quality of service at the lowest price, in accordance with the selection criteria set forth in the Bid 2 Bayonne Public Library Renovation Documents.
