As of January 17, 2022, they are getting approvals on permitting and SWPPP and plan to start earthwork later this week. They intend to have subs on site doing work the later part of this week, though for the first few weeks it’s only going to be the earthwork and site utilities subs. SpawGlass is the Construction Manager at Risk for this project and is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals from subcontractors and vendors. Proposals must be received prior to 4:00 pm, October 14th, 2021. The deadline for questions will be 4:00 pm, September 30th, 2021. Bid Package #1 includes all trades necessary for the construction of the new Solid Waste Facility. Refer to the Documents tab for a listing of Bid Items, Bid Forms and Qualification Forms. Specifications are noted on the plans and City of Temple Standards. The approximate 14.5-acre project site at 2611 E. Avenue H was identified through a Solid Waste master planning project performed by SCS Engineers based on the site's close proximity to the City's CNG fueling station, the City's landfill, and existing utilities. The new Solid Waste Complex will include an approximate 5,500 sf administration building and an approximate 29,000 sf recyclable transfer station/maintenance building along with the site roadways, parking areas, and associated equipment.
