For design, fabrication and delivery of a prefabricated pedestrian bridge to Arrowhead Park, Neola, Iowa. Specifications are for a fully engineered prefabricated clear span bridge of steel construction and shall be regarded as minimum standards for design and construction. Specifications are based on products designed and manufactured by CONTECH Engineered Solutions, LLC AASHTO Express series. Bridge span shall be 130'-0" (straight line dimension) and shall be as measured from each end of the bridge structure (out to out dimension). Bridge width shall be 8'-0" clear and shall be as measured from the inside face of the elements comprising the safety system or truss structural members (chords and verticals). Each bidder is required to identify their intended bridge supplier as part of the bid submittal and bridge material specifications must be provided upon request. Qualified suppliers must have at least 10 years of experience fabricating these type structures and be a licensed contractor in Pottawattamie County and an insured/bonded supplier. Specifications will be posted to the county website and available upon request. Site preparation and abutments, bridge offloading, bridge erection, bridge placement and finish grading will be provided and completed by Pottawattamie County Conservation. Bridge delivery date will be determined by date of site preparation completion which is tentatively scheduled for December 2021 but may be extended into early 2022. Bidders will be notified on or before September 27, 2021 as to the status of the bid. All bids, plans, designs, and samples submitted for this project by bidders shall remain the property of the PCCB. The PCCB reserves the right to reject any/or all bids received, to waive informalities and to accept the bid deemed best for the PCCB.
