Harbourfront business development plan. Completed in 2019, the plan identifies a balance of public amenity improvements and commercial development opportunities for the Harbourfront area defined as the south parking lot to McLeod Park. TIMELINE: RFP for detailed design & tender specifications for the Harbourfront Business Development Plan was awarded to KGS Group, HTFC Planning & Design and Number TEN Architects. The successful proponents will work alongside a team of City of Kenora staff to undertake further community and Indigenous partner engagement and required studies to develop detailed designs and tender specifications for 10 project zones in the plan. The next steps will involve detailed design work including additional consultation for certain project elements. This will be a multi-phase project as funding and partnerships are secured. Detailed design work is supported by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, FedNor, and the Province of Ontario’s Tourism Economic Development and Recovery Fund.
