The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 760 LF of 12" water main to be installed along Newnam in western Rockingham County beginning at a point near the intersection with US Highway 220 and Bennett Farm Road. Work shall include all labor, materials and equipment to install the proposed line and all appurtenances for a complete project. The bid shall also include alternate pricing for a smaller 6" water main for comparison and consideration. Bids shall be submitted with the understanding that Rockingham County may choose either alternative for construction. Rockingham County invites and encourages participations in this procurement process by minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and business owned by disabled persons. Rockingham County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted, to waive technicalities and informalities in bidding, and to accept a proposal other than the lowest submitted if such is in the best interest of the County. Minimum qualifications are required as specified in the RFP, but any additional information is accepted as well. The requirements for submitting a bid are stated in this Request for Proposal.
