The Henry County Water Authority, hereafter HCWA, seeks bids from highly qualified contractors to provide Construction Services to Build a 150 Monopole for Radio Tower Read Water Deadline for questions is Sept. 28th 2021. HCWA reserves the right to paraphrase, edit or summarize questions; to combine similar questions into a single question and to decline to answer questions deemed frivilous, irrelavant or otherwise not in HCWA's best interest to answer. PREBID CONFERENCE. A Prebid conference will not be scheduled. Monopole Construction: Furnish and install new 150ft Steel Monopole with pier or spread foundation. Install and put into operation Sensus AMI antenna and M400 Base Station to be provided by Kendall Supply, Inc. (only antenna and M400 unit furnished). Customer desires Sensus AMI Antenna to be mounted at top of pole height, secondary loading at 125 ft and third loading at 100 feet. Electrical Construction: Contractor will furnish and install electric service from the new meter disconnect (to be installed by 3rd party under this contract allowance) to the electrical disconnect located beside the monopole. Furnish and install power for the M400 Base Station. Install power to and install M400 and Power up. Furnish and install all site grounding for monopole and M400. Communications Construction: Mount M400, install power and grounding and perform power up. Ground Base Station to tower. Run coax from M400 to top of tower. Install Commscope DB589-Y antenna. Perform sweep. A. The work shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Design and Engineering for generation of project drawings of 150 ft monopole and all submittals required to process approval of engineering. Contractor can utilize a third-party engineer for pole design and engineering of foundation. 2. Procurement of a new 150 ft galvanized steel monopole tower. 3. Construction of monopole foundation. 4. Installation of monopole tower. 5. Pickup and delivery to project site of the base station cabinet and antenna at: 1020 Industrial Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253 between 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. 6. Installation of electrical power and grounding work and base station. 7. Installation of antenna supports and brackets. The antenna only comes as the antenna shown herein with no mounting hardware. 8. Removal of trash and debris at site of construction including any left-over construction materials. 9. Any work as indicated on project drawings as Engineered by Contractor and as specified herein and/or work required to accomplish this project as pertaining to this SOW. 10. ENGINEERING: This Statement of Work does not include a basis for design on monopole and/or footing. The basis of design will be provided by Manufacturer of monopole or third-party Engineer as procured by the Contractor which will include: Foundation Design, Tower Elevation, Base Plate and Anchorage details, Fraction Reactions for Tower Foundation, Tower Grounding and Layout of grounding plan, antenna and coax grounding. 11. A Geotechnical Soil Boring report is included with this SOW as performed by Construction Material Services, Inc. dated June 11, 2021.
