The Contractor shall provide installation of a new 24" waterline beneath the Ship Channel at Tule Lake which connects to an existing 16" waterline in Joe Fulton Corridor and to an existing 24" waterline in Up River Road. In addition to the new 24" waterline, an 8" City gas line is to be installed beneath the Ship Channel parallel to the new 24" waterline. The 24" waterline is approximately 6,800 LF long and requires a combination of construction techniques, including horizontal directional drilling, open trench, and auger bore. The 8" gas line is approximately 6,850 LF, the proposed installation involves a combination of horizontal directional drilling and open trench construction methods. Currently there is no existing gas infrastructure in the area. After construction this line in to be capped on both ends and is to be utilized at a further date.
