Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Nashua, New Hampshire. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As the footprint of the Nashua Police Department's property has grown with the acquisition of 9 Riverside Street as a training location, some small improvements are needed to the building. Specifically, security measures need to be taken to ensure the building is not at risk of burglary. Security measures should be taken to close or secure large openings around the facade of the building. Bars for large windows and walling off a glass door in the classroom. An interior door needs to be created in order to connect the garage bay area to the newly acquired area of the building. Ensuring key card access locks are installed as portions of 9 Riverside Street have become "secure" areas of the Nashua Police Department. Assessments are needed to ensure the second floor can sustain the anticipated load of storage. Ensuring the building is to code for safety and regular use needs to be analyzed. Furthermore, it is unknown what system deficiencies may be remaining, and a better understanding of the life analysis of the buildings systems and their likely repair is in order. Lastly, a sustainable alternative permanent power source is needed in the form of a standalone generator. The current system of having a licensed electrician coming out to hook up a generator each time it is needed is not a sustainable option. The Nashua Police Department is seeking capital improvement funds to repair and upgrade the building and property at 9 Riverside Street, as well as, replace the nearly 740 linear feet of fencing and gates at the police department with a new eight-foot chain link fence with security gates, complete with privacy slats, and upgraded surveillance. As of May 19, 2025, this project is included in the City of Nashua's FY 2025 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
