The Nashua Police Department was built in 1979 and original to the property is the asphalt parking lot. The parking lot has never been repaved and is currently in disrepair. Due to the age of the pavement it would not be cost effective to make repairs and sealcoat it. To sustainably repair the parking lot will require new drainage system with two catch basins and 300 feet of pipe. It will also require the removal of the existing asphalt, grading and compacting existing underlayment, install a 2” binder course, with a 1 ½” top course. Resetting of the existing granite curbing and striping. As of October 11, 2024, this project is included in the City of Nashua's FY 2024 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
