Site work for a water / sewer project in Morrisburg, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work generally includes maintenance dredging of the Crysler Park Marina entrance channel and fairway and renovation of the existing boat launch. Maintenance dredging work will include dredging of Class B material to the depths and limits defined on the contract drawings and disposal of the dredged material on site within the dredge disposal limits defined on the contract drawings. The dredging work includes preparation of the dredge disposal area, environmental mitigation and management measures as indicated in the contract and as per permitting requirements and decommissioning of the dredge disposal area following the work. The ramp renovation work includes demolition and disposal of the existing boat ramp structure with salvage of pre-cast retaining wall units and construction of a new boat ramp and retaining walls. The boat ramp includes precast concrete panels on steel sleepers below water with a cast in place concrete ramp above water. New retaining wall structures are to be constructed using pre-cast concrete units with re-establishment of marina service connections and integration with dockage and shoreline structures respectively.
