D264670, PIN 881551, FA Proj Z0E1-8815-513, Westchester Co., Resurfacing by Milling and Paving Routes 141 and 117, Town of Mount Pleasant., Bid Deposit: 5% of Bid (~ $375,000.00) This project will correct pavement deficiencies that exist on State Route 117 from State Route 9 to the Pace University Entrance and on State Route 141 from Worth Place to Marble Avenue in the Town of Mount Pleasant in Westchester County. Along State Route 117, the work will primarily consist of cold in place recycling where the existing pavement is milled off, renewed and replaced. On State Route 141, the work will primarily consist of milling off the existing pavement and replacing milled pavement by applying a warm-mix asphalt overlay to the road surface. Both treatments will extend each route's service life and improve the quality and safety of the pavement. Additionally, existing pedestrian facilities will be reconstructed to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act specifications where applicable. This Project Is Located in the Hudson Valley Region and Includes the Following: Counties Westchester Every bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation, in the sum of the amount shown on the proposal title page. Bonds must be on form CONR 391. Electronic bids must include an electronic bid bond. Federally Aided Contracts identify a DBE Goal, and 100% NY State Funded Contracts identify both MBE and WBE Goals. Contracts with 0% Goals are generally single operation contracts, where sub-contracting is not expected, and smaller size contracts -- both of which may present direct bidding opportunities for Small Business Firms, including, but not limited to, DBE or MBE and WBE. The New York State Department of Transportation, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, as amended, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all who respond to a written Department solicitation, request for proposal or invitation for bid that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap and income status in consideration for an award.
