It was discovered from a recent electromagnetic inspection that 45 pre-stressing wires are broken on Pipe ID 70173 in Section 2 of the Cedar Creek pipeline under Cagle Crow Road. The Cedar Creek pipeline is a 72" diameter pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP). After a structural evaluation it was determined that this pipe should be repaired within a very short time to mitigate risk of failure. In addition, the location of this segment under the road increases the consequence of failure. TRWD intends to install one 24' area of Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) lining to ensure reliability of the 72" pipeline, including two equivalent 72" expansion rings at the joints. This work includes furnishing labor, all materials, tools, equipment, transportation, storage, and supervision required for the design, supply, and installation of internally bonded CFRP, including protective coatings, to rehabilitate this location of PCCP on the Cedar Creek pipeline.
