Hydrogeological Reviews on behalf of the city of Barrie. The purpose of this contract is for the City to approve, development applications with elevated environmental risks to municipal drinking water resources, to ensure development can move forward in a safe manner with appropriate restrictions and controls. TIMELINE: The Consulting engineers have completed a Peer Review and evaluation of certain development applications relating to the risks of deep construction, contaminant migration, and dewatering. This will ensure development can proceed in a manner that is protective of the municipal supply aquifer. In general, the Consultant will review development applications and prepare a written technical memo detailing the hydrogeological conditions with the proposed development, and recommendations on how the development can move forward in a manner that is protective of the municipal supply aquifer. A subsequent Request For Proposals for Detailed design is expected in 2024. Tender and construction timing is undetermined.
