McAlpine Creek WWMF - Waste Activated Sludge Equalization and Blending and Odor Control Improvements. This project provides wide spots in conveyance of solids, providing storage and more control in pumping, and blending of solids. Odor control will be installed for new facilities and existing upgraded as required. The project includes design and construction of equalization storage and blending tanks at McAlpine at Stowe (Long Creek), Irwin Creek, and McAlpine Creek WWTPs and Odor Control Improvements at McAlpine WWTP. Tankage at McAlpine is needed before any external regionalization efforts and/or partnerships being considered - including Rockhill and Union County. Digesters at Irwin Creek will be converted to tanks. Conveyance from Irwin Creek to McAlpine needs to be established prior to tankage conversion at Irwin Creek.
