The Bay Corridor is envisioned as a complete street that connects West Cliff Drive to the University of California Santa Cruz. Within the project area, this connects existing multiuse paths, parks and open space, Bay View Elementary School, affordable senior housing, multifamily housing, and high frequency transit lines. This project will be completed in phases in coordination wtih Caltrans CAPM Project on Mission Street and Citywide Paving Projects. Intersection improvements at West Cliff, California, and High will be completed as separate CIP projects The project is included in the City of Santa Cruz's FY 2025-29 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 15, 2024, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Funding is anticipated in 2025/2026.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
