General work description: project improvements include realignment of Market Street, realignment and widening of Childs Avenue and Santa Fe Avenue. Work includes asphalt concrete pavement, concrete sidewalk, curb & gutter, concrete median, ADA compliant curb ramps, storm drain inlets and pipes, signing and striping, signal and lighting, conduits and wiring, poles Present bidders inquires in writing to Matiel Holloway, PE at the County of Merced - Department of Public Works, 345 West 7th Street, Building A, Merced, CA 95340; Email: Matiel.Holloway@countyofmerced.com. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to the COUNTY OF MERCED for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The DBE Contract Goal is (18%) eighteen percent. Merced County will evaluate the bidder's compliance with all DBE requirements under 49 CFR 26. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Merced County Business License before execution of the contract at his own expense. The COUNTY OF MERCED reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid or in the bidding.
