Construction is anticipated to began in December of 2022. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C) on behalf of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System (Owner) and Texas A&M AgriLife Research are soliciting statements of qualifications for selection of an Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm for the Borlaug Center Renovation and Addition project (#06-3344) located in College Station, Texas in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The renovation of the Borlaug Southern Crop Improvement Center, Building 1513, will repurpose approximately 85,000 sq. ft. to house the Department of Nutrition and the Institute for Advancing Health through Agriculture. This renovation will create 24,000 sq. ft. of leading-edge laboratories, 5,370 sq. ft. of core lab facilities, and 3,300 sq. ft. of computational lab space, which are needed by existing and new Texas A&M University faculty and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Agricultural Research Service (ARS) scientists. In addition to labs, the project will include office renovations and additional classrooms. The Planning Amount includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $36,750,000. Fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the Planning Amount. This RFQ is the first step in the process for selecting a firm.
