As of April 18, 2022 This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Sealed bids are hereby solicited to pre-qualified bidders/contractors for the construction of the Lake Accotink Dam Stream Crossing. Only firms that have been pre-qualified will be allowed to submit bids for this project. Bids received from those who have not been pre-qualified will not be considered. The decision to pre-qualify a bidder/contractor shall not constitute a determination that the bidder/contractor is responsible, and such bidder/contractor may be subsequently rejected as non-responsible on the basis of subsequently discovered information. The work shall include the following: Demolition, poured in place elevated and non-elevated concrete walkway, retaining wall, and associated site work This is a lump sum Contract. Contract length is 280 calendar days Engineers Estimate: $1.7 million All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to the Fairfax County Park Authority, Planning and Development Division, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Suite 421, Fairfax, VA 22035 via email at Heather.Lynch@fairfaxcounty.gov at least seven days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. This office is the only point where information will be disseminated. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the opening thereof. The procedure specified under Section 2.2-4330(A) (i), VA Code Ann. shall apply: the bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his bid within two (2) business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure. All pre-qualified bidders shall comply with Article A-21, Fairfax County Construction Safety of Resolution, Information for Bidders. Bidders request for determination of eligibility to bid must be received by the County no later than fourteen (14) days before bids are due in accordance to Article A-18.E of Section A, Information for Bidders. A determination of eligibility may be requested only if a Bidder is subject to conditions in Article A-21.C of Section A, Information for Bidders. The Fairfax County Park Authority of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the Fairfax County Park Authority.
