The successful bidder will be responsible for construction of the Caswell County 4-Bay Salt Shed. The building is constructed of cast-in-place concrete walls bearing on a shallow concrete foundation, concrete apron with retaining wall and a wood truss roof. There is no plumbing or mechanical work in this project. All proposals shall be lump sum All questions during the bid are to be directed to Mary Beth Elfers, in the form of an RFI, via email to melfers@ljbinc.com by October 5, 2021 by 3:00 PM. All documentation during the bid period will be sent via email to the address provided during the pre-bid meeting. However, it is the responsibility of all participating in the bid to check before the bid to verify they have all RFl's and Addenda that may have been issued. The list of general contractors attending the pre- bid will be available after the pre-bid meeting A bid bond is not required. Performance bond, payment bond, and insurance must be provided by the contractor after selection. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. General Contractors must have general license classification, at minimum, for Building-Intermediate No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the BID/ACEPTANCE form provided herein with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed.
