This Project Includes the Design and Construction of a Fire Suppression System to Be Controlled by a Wireless Fire Alarm System. The proposals will be evaluated based on the costs of the construction of the complete FPS, as well as the technical analysis of the fire suppression design per requirements of their respective specifications and drawings. Any proposals submitted where the design of the fire suppression system is determined to not meet the requirements of the specifications will be rejected. There is a portion of work in this project involving facility demolition and construction that will be performed by the TDCJ Region IV maintenance department. These costs are not to be included in the proposals. The construction sequence of events for the purpose of this proposal is as follows: 1) Demolition for FPS 2) Installation of behind wall and through wall suppression components 3) Installation of behind wall and through wall alarm components 4) Site Acceptance Test 5) Region IV maintenance completion of ceiling and wall construction 6) Final dress out of suppression components 7) Final installation of alarm components Contractors are required to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan as detailed in Exhibit 1. Failure to submit a completed HUB Subcontracting Plan will result in the proposal being rejected from further consideration. Contractor must be bondable and insurable at the levels required. All proposals must be accompanied by an Offer Deposit in the amount of 5% of greatest amount proposed. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required upon award of a contract.
