The project was developed under UPC 108790, State Project Number 0168-131-S30, Federal Project: HSIP-5A03(818) FHWA534, DATA NO. 4B121. Questions regarding this project must be submitted in writing via email to Christine Smittle, (csmittle@cityofchesapeake.net), by 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2022. Except as otherwise expressly provided otherwise in the solicitation, the project shall be constructed in accordance with: the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications, dated 2016 and the 2019, 2018, 2017 supplements; and the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Standards, dated 2016; the 2011 Virginia Work Area Protection Manual, with Revision 1 dated April 2015; the 2009 edition of the MUTCD with Revisions dated May 2012; and Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions and Special Provision Copied Notes in this contract. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2 Chapter 43, Code of Virginia is required. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 54-63(5) of the Chesapeake City Code and the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any minor non-substantive errors in the Bid.
