The City of Lathrop invites sealed informal bids for the construction of public improvements for the City Hall Paint Renovation, CIP GG 21-09, City of Lathrop, California. The scope of work to be performed under this contract is generally described as pressure washing and other surface preparation, including priming of all areas, test application of 4 colors for compatibility, and painting of all exterior masonry and metal surfaces (approx. 16,500 square feet) of City Hall and 2 small masonry enclosures, per attached plans and specifications. The value of this work is estimated at $70,000 and requires the following bonds at the indicated percentages of contract value: Bid (10%), Payment (50%), Performance (100%) and a Guaranty Bond (10%) at the completion of the project, valid for one year. A valid California Contractor's license Class C-33 (Painting and Decorating Contractor) is required to bid on this project. In accordance with SB 854, all contractors who bid or work on Public Works projects for the City of Lathrop are subject to the following requirements: DIR Registration. Each Bidder submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials and/or services ("Work") subject to this procurement must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 ("DIR Registered Contractor"). A Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for Work is deemed "not qualified" and the proposal of such a Bidder will be rejected as non-responsive. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, all Subcontractors identified in a Bidder's Subcontractors' List shall be DIR Registered Contractors. If awarded the Contract for the Work, at all times during performance of the Work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors, of any tier, shall be DIR Registered Contractors.
