All Quantities Are Estimates Only. The Contractor Must Furnish Labor, Equipment, and Traffic Control. The Department of Transportation does not exclude any person from participation in, deny any person benefits of, or otherwise discriminate against anyone in connection with the award and performance of any contract covered by this program on the basis of race, color, sex, political affiliation/influence, or national origin. The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights of 1964 (78 Stat.252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49 C.F.R., Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin. A General Contractor's License Is Required in Order to Submit a Bid on Any Non-federal Aid Project Where the Bid Is $30,000.00 or More, Except for Certain Specialty Work as Determined by the Licensing Board. On Federal Projects, the Appropriate Contractors License Shall Be Obtained Within 60 Days of Bid Opening. For Additional Information or to Make Application for a License, Apply to the Executive Secretary of the Contractor Licensing Board, P.o. Box 17187, Raleigh, Nc 27619, (919-571-4183). Statements of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Participation Must Be Presented With the Bids. Dbe Goal Is 4% for This Contract. The Right Is Reserved to Reject Any or All Bids. Tew at 910-682-5100 or Email Nhtew@ncdot.gov NCDOT - Sampson Bridge 248 The date of availability for this contract is January 17, 2022, except that work in jurisdictional waters and wetlands shall not begin until a meeting between the DOT, Regulatory Agencies, and the Contractor is held as stipulated in the permits contained elsewhere in this proposal. This delay in availability has been considered in determining the contract time for this project. The completion date for this contract is October 17, 2023. Except where otherwise provided by the contract, observation periods required by the contract will not be a part of the work to be completed by the completion date and/or intermediate contract times stated in the contract. The acceptable completion of the observation periods that extend beyond the final completion date shall be a part of the work covered by the performance and payment bonds.
