BUILDING INVENTORY# : J0400 Base Bid: Refurbish Two (2) Existing Rite Boilers. Install automatic blowdown system. Provide new feedwater tank and pumps. Provide water softener. Provide boiler chemical treatment system. Provide blow down separator. Provide new DDC controls. Commission boilers and all components. 1. Alternate Bid H-1: Demolish all building steam traps and piping specialties. Provide all new steam traps and piping specialties at heating components. 2. The Using Agency will independently provide the drainage of existing systems: hydronic, plumbing and fire suppression piping. The contractor shall complete all work through Substantial Completion in accord with the contract within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Authorization to Proceed and shall complete all remaining work in accordance with the contract (Final Acceptance) within 30 consecutive calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion. The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond covering the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, in accordance with the Public Construction Bond Act (30 ILCS 550). Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract on forms provided by CDB and executed by a surety acceptable to CDB. The participation goal percentages on the amount of the contract awarded by CDB for this project are: Heating Trade 5% Combined (MBE/WBE), 0% PBE/VBE.
