Renovation of a water / sewer project in South Hill, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of November 05, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded and released next week. Proposals shall be presented in a sealed envelope per instructions and specifications in this request for proposal. All information regarding opening date, description of the proposal, and R.F.P. number must be listed on the outside of the envelope. General Information Purpose South Hill is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the repainting of the Plank Road 1,000,000 Gallon Elevated Tank. It is the intent of the R.F.P. to determine the most responsive qualified firm to which the owner could contract these services. Scope Each proposal shall address all infor-mation outlined herein. Additionally, each prospective contractor may include such other information as they deem pertinent to the proper evaluation of their proposal. Typewritten proposals only shall be sub-mitted containing all required material. It is the responsibility of each prospective contractor interested in the proposal to inspect the tank prior to the sub-mission of their bid proposal. Inspection of tanks may be scheduled by contacting C J Dean, Director of Municipal Services, Town of South Hill at 434-447-3191. Each contractor is responsible for testing the current materials in place on each tank for hazardous content. All work must comply with OSHA Confined Space Entry, A.W.W.A., N.S.F., and other federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Instructions For Proposals Proposals must be received by the Town and stamped with the time and date at The South Hill Town Hall, 211 South Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill, VA 23970 before October 14, 2021, at 3 PM local prevailing time. Proposals received after the specified time and date will not be accepted or considered. The proposals must be placed in a sealed envelope. On the outside lower left corner, include the following information: PROPOSAL FOR: Repainting of the Plank Road 1,000,000 Gallon Elevated Tank. Your return address must be in the upper left hand corner. Responsibility for submission of the R.F.P. to the owner on or before the specified time and date is solely and strictly that of the Proposal Provider. The owner will not be responsible for any delays for any reason. Offers by telephone, telegram, facsimile, email, etc. will not be accepted. This proposal package should contain all of the specifications of this package as required plus any addendum, along with any information requested. Each proposal must include a detailed contractor's insurance certificate. This insurance certificate should detail all levels of insurance that are required in section 5 of this R.F.P.
