A timeline for award has been established on December 9, 2021.*** New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Bids (RFB) from qualified firms interested in providing construction services in connection with the construction of Surface Water Treatment Plant Discharge Water Line Project (the Project). The Project has been designed by Plummer Associates, Inc. The Project is anticipated to include some or all of the following items within its scope: (i) construction of approximately 12,800 linear feet (LF) of 24-inch and 30-inch water main including trenching/backfill, trench safety, curved micro-tunneling, jacking/boring, fittings, valves, connections, and other appurtenances, generally from the Surface Water Treatment Plant located at 2356 Gruene Road to the 306 Pump Station located at 2320 East Common generally along Rivercrest Drive, Gruene Road, and Waterway Lane; (ii) preparation of right-of-way including clearing and grubbing and construction staking; (iii) storm water pollution prevention; (iv) groundwater control; (v) traffic control; (vi) tree protection/removal/replacement; (vii) site restoration; and (viii) all other appurtenances necessary to complete the Project.
