Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Drayton, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work is comprised of two (2) Contracts or one (1) combined Contract: Individual Bids will be received for each Contract. The Owner will not accept a combined Bid unless that Bid is lower than the combined total of the lowest and best Bids for the Separate Contracts. The Work for each Contract is generally described as follows: Contract No. 1 - New Water Tower Construction and Old Water Tower Demolition: Work generally consists of installing a new 300,000-gallon steel spheroid single pedestal water tower, appurtenances and associated site work, demolition of the old 50,000 gallon water tower and restoration of both sites. Contract No. 2 - New Water Tower Electrical Construction and Old Water Tower Electrical Demolition: Work generally consists of furnishing and installing a new electrical system and appurtenances for the new water tower and select electrical demolition at the old 50,000 gallon water tower. Contract No. 3: Combined Contracts No. 1 and No. 2: Work includes construction consisting of the Work described under Contract No. 1 and Contract No. 2. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five (5) percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten (10) days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under this section. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten (10) days allowed, the bidder's bond must be forfeited to the governing body and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. Refer to 00 21 13 for more information on bidding requirements.
