The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors is accepting seals bids from qualified, licensed contractors, authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, for the removal and replacement of the oil boiler located at the Prince Edward Cannery. Specifications for the existing boiler is as follows: Prince Edward Cannery Make: Lattner Year Built: 1972 Type: Fire Tube Boiler Allowable Pressure: 150 Working Pressure: 50 Services being requested by the contractor include: o Secure all means of energy from boiler o Disconnect boiler from existing systems o Rig existing boiler out o Rig new boiler in o Connect the steam and feedwater piping to the boiler o Inspect/replace pressure reducing stations and relief valves o Run flue pipes from boiler to existing chimneys/seal roof openings o Tie drain lines into boiler o Tie relief valve discharges to boiler 2 | P a g e o Tie oil line into burner, install new filters o Tie electrical into boiler o Commission boiler o Boil-out boiler o Place unit online and set pressure to facility requirement o Remove all debris from site and dispose of lawfully
