This project will be funded with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. By or Before Tuesday October 26, 2021 - Selection of Contractor and Approval by Township By or Before Tuesday, November 2, 2021 - Pre-Construction Mtg. (optional) By or Before Monday December 13, 2021 - Deadline to Submit Final Invoice and other Required Paperwork to Township This contractor shall furnish all labor, material, supplies, power, machinery, tools and equipment needed to perform the demolition, removal, and disposal of principal dwelling and debris at 10501 Belleville and restoration of the site. SCOPE OF WORK SHALL INCLUDE: 1. Disconnect all electrical lines to principal dwelling that's to be demolished using DTE's direction. 2. Remove and dispose of all asbestos material in accordance with all applicable laws, as described in the attached report from ETC Environmental dated 3/05/2021. 3. Demolish, remove, and dispose of the principal dwelling including the foundations, walls, footings, and other debris in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances. 4. Remove and dispose of all construction debris and other debris on the property in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances. 5. Backfill all open holes with clean fill dirt and grade all holes and excavations that were part of the demolition areas. 6. Seed and mulch all backfilled and graded areas with a grass seed mix appropriate for the area. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: Any bidder may withdraw their bid, either personally or by written request, at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Each bid shall be considered binding and in effect for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of opening set forth in the Notice to Bidders. QUESTIONS / ADDENDA I CLARIFICATION / CORRECTION: Instructions will be given should any questions, addenda, clarification, or corrections in the proposal be called to the attention of the Township not less than one (1) working day before bids are due. Instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, if issued will be emailed to all prospective bidders (at the respective email address furnished for such purposes), not later than one (1) day prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Failure of any bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his bid as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the contract documents. RIGHT TO REJECT: The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or part. CONTRACT AWARD: The Township also reserves the right to accept the bid judged as most responsive and satisfactory for its requirements based on standards of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Township's purchasing policy. The successful bidder will be notified of the contract award by either purchase order or by written notice from the Community Development Agent. REJECTION: The cost of unloading and storing of rejected goods will be charged to the contractor's account. Rejected material must be removed from the subject property immediately after notification. The Township reserves the right to sell such goods, if not removed, to the highest bidder and credit the contractor's account with money so received.
