Site work for a civil project in Pembroke, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and road / highway.
As of 11/8/2021 project was not yet been awarded. No estimated time frame yet. Canal & Canal Right of Way Clearing (Approximately 10.04 miles) Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of all vegetation, tree limbs, and/or trees that hinder or prevent the safe operation of canal maintenance, re-grading, and restoration maintenance, in the drainage right of way and/or available easement with a minimum of a 20' clearing from the top of the front slope of the canal. Vegetation includes trees, branches, brush, underbrush, stumps, or other obstructions to future maintenance activities. Removal means and methods will be determined by the Contractor with approval of the Bryan County Public works designee, and may include mechanical cutting, hauling, tree and stump grinding. Contractor will be required to remove all accumulated materials from the downed tree from the work area and dispose of them in a responsible manner. Contractor will be required to in ensure the trees on the back slope are pushed back to the top edge of the back slope. Removed trees shall become the property of the Contractor. If the Contractor decides to mulch the trees onsite, the mulching's must stay on the canal road and shall not be in the flow line of the Canal. Prior to work beginning, trash and debris located within the Canal right of way and rights-of-ways; shall be collected, removed from the site and disposed of properly in accordance with all applicable codes and ordinances at no additional cost to the County. Canal and Canal Right-of-Way Mowing (Approximately 38.11 Miles) The Contractor shall cut the vegetation on the front and back slopes (to water's surface), access roads, headwalls, fencing and right of ways and or/easements; utilizing motorized equipment. Grass, weeds, and fibrous vegetation with a diameter of 0.25 inches or less shall be cut to a height of six (6) inches or less. Vegetation greater than 0.25 inches shall be cut to the height of four (4) inches or less.
