Renovation of a municipal facility in Tukwila, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Work under this Contract includes the removal and replacement of an antiquated press brake and mill which are located within King County Metro's Component Supply Center. Project Location: 1. Component Supply Center - 122000 East Marginal Way South, Tukwila WA 98168 General Project Location Description: The Work locations under this Contract are within a Metro Transit Base Maintenance facility. This is a high activity, controlled access area that will remain in full operation during the Work except as specified herein for Work requiring system shutdown. Achieve Substantial Completion as defined in the General Terms and Conditions no later than 120 calendar days after the effective date of the Notice to Proceed letter. The anticipated lead time for the Press Brake Machine is 12 weeks. Achieve Final Acceptance no later than 30 days following issuance of Substantial Completion. Project will be executed under one lump sum Contract with 3 bid scopes A. The general elements of the project include the items below, as detailed in the technical specifications: 1. Sites include but are not limited to: King County Metro Transit Facilities. 2. Work includes, but is not limited to, a. Mobilization and temporary facilities. b. Removal and disposal of existing equipment and materials; preparation of subject areas to receive the Work, and installation of the Work. This may include, but is not limited to i. Demolition, salvage, recycling, and waste diversion in accordance with the requirements of Section 017419 Construction Waste Demolition and Disposal. ii. Saw Cutting and Concrete Removal at Required excavations. Comply with the requirements of Section 024119 Selective Demolition. iii. Concrete - Floor slab repairs and slab thickening for anchorage. Comply with the requirements of Section 033000 Cast-in-Place Concrete. iv. Electrical Systems - Comply with the requirements of Division 26. v. Mechanical Systems - Comply with the equipment and systems requirements specified in this Contract. B. Work under this Contract includes: 1. CSC Machine Shop: Knee Mill Replacement. a. Remove existing knee milling machine. b. Replace knee milling machine with new computer numerical control (CNC) knee milling machine provided by King County. c. Route new IT data cable, via trench, to new knee milling machine. d. Update existing electrical circuits with new conductors. e. Install and modify associated equipment and systems to comply with current codes. f. Provide associated tooling, equipment training, testing, and commissioning. 2. CSC Sheet Metal Shop: Press Brake Replacement. a. Remove old 10-ft hydraulic press brake. b. Update existing electrical circuits with new conductors. c. Provide and install new 10-ft hydraulic CNC press brake. d. Install and modify associated equipment and systems to comply with current codes. e. Provide associated tooling, equipment training, testing, and commissioning.
