Orange County, North Carolina is releasing this Request for Proposals (hereafter 'RFP') seeking responses from qualified licensed plumbers/contractors to provide professional services for the installation of a private sewer service lateral connection for a qualified lowto-moderate income (LMI) owner of a Heritage Lot with Pre-Existing Dwellings in the Historic Rogers Road Area. The private sewer service lateral connection is defined here as the 4- inch diameter sewer service lateral pipe and associated appurtenances located on private property, installed from the existing stub-out/clean-out near the property line to the private dwelling to be served. This work will also include the abandonment of the existing private septic tank per Orange County requirements upon completion of the private sewer service lateral connection. This work does not include nor obligate the qualified licensed plumber to bring up to code any non-altered existing plumbing. The Historic Rogers Road Area is located within jurisdictional areas of the Town of Chapel Hill and the Town of Carrboro in Orange County, North Carolina Providers are only required to attend one site visit for the property included in this RFP, but may elect to attend both site visits, if desired. Orange County will compile a list of all questions asked by Providers in attendance at the mandatory site visits. Also, Providers who have attended a mandatory site visit may forward additional questions to Jovana Amaro (Orange County Purchasing Agent) at jamaro@orangecountync.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 1, 2021. Providers should enter "RFP#: 367-OC5335: Questions" as the subject for the email. Questions submittals should include a reference to the applicable RFP section. Questions received by the deadline date, Orange County's response, and any additional terms deemed necessary by the Orange County will be posted in the form of an addendum Electronically The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
