Replace 8 and 12 inch sewer mains The Project consists of constructing construction of 12-inch and 8" gravity sewer line upstream of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). A Pre-Bid Conference will not be conducted Bidders will be allowed to modify or withdraw bids prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. No bid received after the scheduled closing time will be accepted or opened. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 60 calendar days. The successful Bidder, or Bidders, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of the contract written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and satisfactory to the Owner. The award will be made on the basis of the lowest responsible bid. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all bids. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) unther U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Devleopment Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race,color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts.
